Observatories
The Observatories play a crucial role in following the development of public policy and corporate strategy in an ever-changing environment. The Institutes research is a constant spur to dialogue with other actors, leading to a deeper analysis of specific issues. The observatories are financed with the contribution of their associate members who actively participate in defining many issues ranging from work planning to issues to be analyzed, from a dialogue over such issues to discussions on policy proposals. IEFE has encouraged the setting up of three permanent Observatories: 
Observatory on Climate and Energy Policy - ex OPEA 
Observatory on Integrated Environmental Management Systems - OSIGA 
Observatory on Environmental Information and Participation - IPA
